Puglia is one of Italy's main wine region in terms of volume produced. It is particularly renowned for primitivo and negroamaro grapes.

la Firenze del Sud

Lecce is often called the Florence from the South thanks to its wonderfully preserved architecture. Generally speaking, Italians are fond of their ancient monuments, such as here the roman amphitheatre or the Santa Chiara Church.

With the longest coastline of mainland Italy, Puglia remain the best region to find turquoise crystal clear water. No doubt you will find the perfect spot for swimming / tanning / taking pictures that will make all of your friends jealous / or whatever.
