Insert the "worm" (aka wine opener) into the center of your cork and turn clockwise until the corkscrew is fully seated in the cork. Let the shorter notch of the lever (that's the metal arm!) rest on the lip of the wine bottle, then pull the lever up to remove the cork from the bottle.
