Louis Guntrum Spätburgunder is a German red wine that consists entirely of spätburgunder (a synonym for pinot noir). The wine is produced by Louis Guntrum, a name that commands respect in many circles.
The Guntrum family has been growing wine since 1648 and settled on the Rheinalle in 1923, where they still make wine today. Today, the 11th generation heads the winery and still respects the original philosophy: use only the best grapes from the best vineyards to make the best wines.
TASTING PROFILE: Louis Guntrum Spätburgunder has a beautiful ruby red color with other red reflections. In this wine you can detect aromas of cherry and raspberry and a touch of oak from the barrique barrel aging. It is a well-balanced, soft wine with a nice acidity and ripe aftertaste.
