Hess Selected zinfandel is an American red wine from the Napa Valley in California. The wine consists largely of the zinfandel grape, which is considered 'the' classic American master grape. In addition to zinfandel, you can also find petit syrah and carignan.

TASTY PROFILE: Hess Selected zinfandel has a dark, garnet red color and is characterized by playful notes of raspberry, pomegranate, currant, cedar wood, oak, vanilla and spices. In the mouth there are notes of nutmeg, cinnamon and black pepper. The wine has a round and rich taste with ripe tannins and a spicy finish.
You can keep it for up to 8 years after bottling and it can be very nicely combined with cassoulets, hearty stews, grilled meats, tomato pastes and semi-hard farmhouse cheeses.
