Bertè & Cordini - Valmaga is an Italian red blend of croatina, barbera and uva rara e ughetta. The wine is produced by Bertè & Cordini in Oltrepo Pavese (northern Italy).
The family company Bertè & Cordini has been producing wine since 1895. They are in a constant search for wines of the highest quality and try to respect the natural characteristics of the grapes they work with.
The grapes for this wine were sourced in the Po Valley en grow at an altitude of 250 m. The ageing takes place in two phases. First the grapes ferment for 10 days in contact with the skins. After these 10 days the grapes are placed in Frech oak barrels and age for 12 to 24 months.
TASTING NOTES: Bertè & Cordini - Valgama has a deep and profound cherry red colour. The nose is characterised by aroma's of plums, toasted spices and ripe fruit. On the palate, this wine is very elegant and full with sweet tanins.
